A Reflection of the MidTerm Election, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 . . .
Yes, this midterm election was bigger than Americans even imagined for the 2008 Presidential election.
This midterm election opened people eyes, not so much to the games that our politicians play, but the state of our lives.
In 2008 we voted for change. We got change. But, some were so afraid of that change, that they were willing to turn back. Remember Lot's wife?
The banks got bailed out. Everyone is still blaming the people for purchasing those homes they could not afford. The mortgage lenders and others knew they could not afford it, but they found some way to underwrite all those loans. Greed. You always have to bring proof of income to qualify for any type of loan in these United States. The banks got bailed out and the homes have gone into foreclosure.
I always wondered, what would had happened if all our Elected Representatives would had made every bank who had what they called "toxic loans," rewrite every one of those loans at the true value of what those mortgages should had been? Would they have been so fast to bail them out, while people are trying to keep their homes?
No matter how the Democrats and Republicans think we can turn this country around in two years, they are only fooling themselves. We have to keep it real. America is in a very serious state of denial about our finances and our future. It is not going to happen overnight. This did not happen over night. This was years of neglect when we decided, we no longer needed to look to God as our Source and refused to take care of America first.
Our companies thought they did not have to follow our laws and allowed illegal immigration to manifest in our country because of cheap and undocumented labor. This is a thorn in our laws and was another form of racism against Americans, Black and White.
At the root cause of everything in America is racism and greed. Companies who has shipped jobs overseas to keep their costs (i.e., labor, taxes, building new offices, etc.) down at the expense of America's financial aid (loans) from foreign nations. America needs those jobs to return home, so we can cut our unemployment and build up our own infrastructures. This was mentioned throughout the midterm election campaign, but how many Elected Representatives, are going to stand in the halls of Congress and make this demand on those companies, now?
This midterm election was the fear of that change. How are we going to get control of what we lost control of, when we refused to follow our own laws and what we pledge allegiance to every day?
The President is not the cause of what is happening in this country. More than likely, he will be the scapegoat because no one will have the courage to stand up for the truth. It is the very people who have ran this country for years. They make sure "their people" get selected in those key positions that we would never recognize would have an impact on America. They let us think there is change every four years or midterm elections, only to get us "tricked" into believing we did the right thing by voting. Yes we did, but the "secret power elite" is shrewd enough to make sure everything stays the same for their own benefit, financial and political control in this country.
On August 28, 2010 at the "Restoring Honor" rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., Glenn Beck made a statement that may have just resonated that day.
He said, "Something beyond imagination is happening." "America today begins to turn back to God. For too long, this country has wandered in darkness."
Just imagine, if they had rally and made that same statement from 8 - 12 (20) years ago, how the state of America would really be now. Let's take it one step further, those same Elected Representatives were there every day and no one saw what was happening to our economy or how "this country had wondered in darkness."
"Restoring Honor" goes well pass these two words. America wll only be truly restored when we humble ourselves, turn back to God and respect one another. Our troubles are not going to go away whether the Republicans and/or Democrats are in control. If they do not have the courage and cannot pass a simple bill or amendment as "Not On Any Given Sunday" where financial institutions do not call and harass people on Sundays, how do we intend to restore honor to this great nation?
Wake up America! Yes, Sarah Palin has been out there since she lost the last Presidential election, so has Satan. His main purpose is deception and he will use anyone to cause fear, mass confusion and separateness in this country. A price has been paid for all of this, in more ways than one. The world got to see the true color of America.
Whatever excuses we want to come up with and try to convince ourselves otherwise, it's not about the economy. It's not about being a Democrat, Republican or Independent. It's not about President Obama. It's about God.
What will it take? It's about America turning back to God and seeking first His kingdom . This is the only way, we can restore honor, dignity, respect and prosperity to America. One way or another, it is going to happen. There is no other way!
